Families of those affected by PMD often ask us how they can help give to the Foundation. The methods below are some ways you can easily give to the Foundation on an ongoing basis - in some cases without even thinking about it!

Join the Board of Directors
The PMD Foundation Board of Directors donate their time to drive the PMD Foundation mission forward. The full board meets on a quarterly basis and the Executive Committee meets monthly. Committees sometimes meet more often. The children and families affected by PMD need dedicated board members who are committed to serving the Foundation and supporting its goals.
Sign up for the Annual Run, Walk or Roll 5K
September is Leukodystrophy month and every year the PMD Foundation raises awareness by hosting the Run, Walk or Roll for PMD & PMLD! The unique thing about this race is that participants’ every mile is in honor of someone who was affected by PMD/PMLD. 100% of registration fees go to the PMD Foundation’s work on education, research, service, and advocacy for those affected by Pelizaeus-Merzbacher Disease.
Donate Your Birthday
With Facebook Fundraising tools, you can easily donate your birthday to The PMD Foundation. Creating a birthday fundraiser is simple. Click the link below, and follow the instructions to set up your fundraiser. When choosing which non-profit to support, search for the PMD Foundation and you’ll see us listed as “PMD Foundation a New Jersey Non Profit Corporation”.
PMD Vehicle Donation Program
Donate a car to the PMD Foundation through the Cars for Charity vehicle donation program. Donors can also call 888-755-5435 with questions they may have about their car donation.
